The Ateneo Alumni Association of North America Inc. is an umbrella organization of US and Canada based Ateneo alumni groups. The AAANA has gone through its early stage of development as an organization - busy laying down its foundations, identifying and enlisting the support of the various AAAs, helping alumni to organize into local AAAs, informing Ateneans about AAANA, and improving communication between AAANA and the alumni. It has also received 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS which makes it easier for donors to contribute to our fundraising activities.
During the recent 2018 All Ateneo Alumni Convention in San Diego, California, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University, represented by its President, Fr. Karel San Juan SJ, received a donation of $10,000 in support of its ongoing campus reconstruction to repair damage from the Brebeuf Gymnasium fire in 2016. This was made possible by funding of $7,000 from AAANA, represented by Danny Nicolas, outgoing AAANA President, and $3,000 from the Ateneo Alumni Association of San Diego, represented by Jun Burce, AAA-SD President.

Norberto (Kit )Bautista, SJ, Director, ADMU Alumni Affairs, Fr. Primitivo (Jun) Viray Jr., SJ, Father Provincial, Philippine Jesuits, Wilfredo Amante, Director. ADDU Alumni Affairs, and Fr. Rene Tacastacas, SJ, ADZU. The charitable gift, intended for the wellness fund of the infirm and elderly Jesuits , was made possible by the philanthropy of venture capitalist, Diosdado "Dado" Banatao (Ateneo de Tuguegarao alumnus) whose $250,000 pledge was matched 100% by the generosity and group effort of the AAANA members and their supporters.
AAANA was created during the 2010 All Ateneo Alumni Convention in Anaheim, California. It became operational after its newly drafted Constitution and By-Laws were ratified and the first national officers were elected by the attendees in the 2012 Las Vegas All Ateneo Alumni Convention. This was made possible by the partnership with the Ateneans of Las Vegas. The 2014 All Ateneo Alumni Convention in New York City, the second under the auspices of AAANA, was held in partnership with the Ateneo of North America - North East, Inc. Moving forward, AAANA shall provide support and guidance to future All Ateneo Conventions and shall establish standard and continuity from one convention to another.
To clearly signify the aspirations of AAANA as an organization of many alumni groups, our new logo bears the motto, "EST UNITATIS IN REBORE" - which means, "IN STRENGTH, THERE IS UNITY."
