Philippine Jesuit Ministries

Fr. Primitivo (Jun) Viray Jr. SJ, new Philippine Jesuits Provincial, will speak about the various ministries of the province including the Bukidnon Mission District during the 2018 All Ateneo Convention plenary session.

Since the time that St. Ignatius Loyola founded the Jesuits, the Society of Jesus has had a strong and effective network of high schools, colleges and universities throughout the world and in the Philippines. The Jesuits also embrace spiritual ministries. The ways Jesuits share Ignatian spirituality - retreats, spiritual direction, parish ministry, chaplaincies in hospitals and prisons - signify their efforts to make Jesus real in our world. Going where there is greater need, the Philippine Jesuits are actively involved in the following ministries:

  • Spirituality and Retreat Ministries - Sacred Heart Retreat House (Novaliches), Mirador Jesuit Villa (Baguio City), Jesuit Retreat House (Malaybalay), Center for Ignatian Spirituality, Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation
